new 8 ball knob
I'm pretty new on here but I thought I'd throw up a thread about an 8 ball shift knob I just built. I bought an inverted 8 ball (white ball with a black dot) off of a billiards website and transformed it into what I think is a pretty sweet shift knob. After drilling it and fastening a t-nut in it, I cut off the top of the shifter shaft and welded a 5/16-18 stud on top of it so now the knob will thread on instead of being pressed on like the old one. This was a cheap fun weekend project that I think think turned out pretty nicely.

i like it, how much did it cost you?

The ball was like $10 and with the misc hardware it was probably around $15 total to build.

right on, that's pretty good, keep up the good work

the slider for reverse goes up inside the stock knob so that's why this one looks like it sits so high on the shaft, to make room for the slide to move up far enough

how did you get the old one off??
