I was blessed today with the ability to install a new stereo head in my 2004 hatchback. I replaced the stock with a JVC KD-R330. It is a simple head unit with front aux input 3.5mm. The neatest thing about the install is the color coding of the wires seam to be industry standard. Same colors used for same purpose, that made the wiring simple and easy. The only challenge was to mount the unit to the OriG mounting bracket. The auto parts store or HomeDepot didn't have the right bolt. I had to bum a few from the Best Buy stereo shop.

The stock stereo volume button was worn. As you turn the volume up, the volume would eith reset it self to 0 or to a much lower setting. It was annoying. Might be something faulty with the pulse detection circuit in the electronic volume control.
