Well not necessarily the -best- choices to get but if they work and that's the price range you're lookin for then get em, they do work.

Just from my experience, ANY audio equipment you can find at a store like Best Buy is probably not the best thing to get, mainly cause a company like Best Buy gets stuff like that to get better profits, not exactly the best quality product (just like everything else they sell there).

Regarding the amp, amps are only really required for subwoofers due to the amount of power they use. Amps don't really need to be used for door speakers cause they can be easily handled by the head unit itself.

When you get a sub, get an amp, you WILL need it.

Also, I would reccomend getting something else than you listed, my component speakers are Eclipses (VERY clear audio and retail for about $80 each), and my head unit is a JVC KD-AR860, great power output and clear, simple and clean interface (with a remote!)

My sub, amp and capacitor (caps are good for amps and subs cause it puts alot less strain and drain on your car battery cause it drains a small constant amount instead of a big up and down drain) are made by Powerbass, a small company in CA that makes all their stuff IN the USA, that's right, American made audio.

I briefly owned that Amplifier. I bought it at a local police auction a few weeks ago attached to a 12" bandpass box for $5(they removed the woofer and sold it separately, a fact I didnt find out until after it had been sold for $1). the box barely fit in my hatch so I sold the setup to a buddy at my work about 15 minutes after buying it.

Sure my post wasnt much help but I just thought I'd share that story.
