Polk for sure. Have 6.5" in the rear and 4" in the front and they are awesome
put 6"s in the front too youll be amazed at the sound differenceQuote:

youll want atleast a 500W 4 channel for thoseQuote:

A simple install would be a 4 channel 100W RMS x4 amp. Run the 2 fronts off of the first 2 channels, bridge the other 2 for 200W RMS to the sub(s). Then run the 2 rears off the HU.
one channel for front left speakers, one channel for front right speaker, one channel for back left speaker, one channel for back right speaker...that would require 4 channels and jhust get a diff amp for subs..Quote:

My only problem is that the electrical system might not be up to running 2 amps, the one amp dims the lights on heavy bass hits right now.
the second amp doesnt draw a lot, you just run it off from a distribution block or cap or whatever you getQuote:

Same here, is the other amp too much for the wave?Quote:

thats coming from my electrical knowledge not stereo install knowledge.
Install a huge power capacitor on the power input to each amp, and when it thumps, the current demand will be mostly supplied by the caps. There's no substitute for big wires, battery and bigger alternator when it comes to sound systems.
where do you wire a capcatior to in a sound system, in between the battery and the amp?
OK...here we go again...first off, if you are running 2 amps you will need to run at least 4 gauge wire to your distro block. that is big. Now , no amp is 100% efficient, but a simple calculation is P=ExI. You know the P and the E so calculate I...1000 watts at 14.4 volts equals about 70 amps...I think the alternator is around 85 amps.
A cap is not the answer either. I know some will disagree, but please come with facts on this one. I will argue a cap will rob the system of power during recharge period. A cap in DC electronics acts as a filter to give clean power, it does not generate any power, so it will not solve the problem of not enough juice.
Maybe the OP can give some more details of what he is trying to achieve and a budget. Then better advice can be given.
we need a bigger alternator and battery!
i never seen any aftermarket alternators though
Excessive amperage makes an aftermarket alternator for the Chevy Aveo. I have one a 200 amp alternator on my 05 aveo. Additionally, you will do better off upgrading your battery then buy a capacitor, as a capacitor will not give you the power you need during a heavy bass run.Quote:

Drop me a line (year of your aveo) I can get you a nice price quote on one if you like.Quote:

I"ll be running 4 gauge to both amps, I'm going to try a cap but I know that it's just a band aid and a big alt and a good battery is what I'll need. Amps will be 200rms for the sub and 50-75rms per channel (only two needed) for the components, 10 gauge wire to the sub and 12 or 14 to the components.Quote:

the optima batterys would be good so i hear
The yellow top to be more precice, its a deep cycle battery made for high powered electrical equipment (sound systems, winches, high powered off road lights etc etc)
Not that I don't like overkill, but that is a little bit of overkill. 200rms and 150 rms amps can run on 8ga no problem. So run 4 to a block then 8 to each. And 12 is way big to fish thru the molex in the door (and expensive) for the components...at 75w...but of course it won't hurt. 16ga would be fine.Quote:

If you are only powering the 2 channels and a sub, not sure why you want two amps. With the built-in crossovers you can run subs and comps on the same amp. Less space and less wires.
