Radio issues please help

Have an 07, tried installing an aftermarket head unit. The power would not stay on. But as I wiggled the wires of the factory harness it would turn on and off symbolizing a short in the wire somewhere. Assuming it was the power wire, I would wiggle that wire by itself to no result. But if I grabbed a cluster of wires and move them it would turn on and off.

With no result in finding the shorted out wire, I decided to clip the factory harness a little ways back to hopefully cut the short out. I went to the junk yard and clipped the same piece off a car. Matched all the wires together. Plug it onto my aftermarket harness and now I am getting ZERO power to the head unit... any suggestions?

Sounds like you have some diagnostic work to do. You'll want a voltmeter and you'll have to find where you're loosing power on the power wire. Then you can cut back to that point and put in a new wire.
