how in the world is an aveo a mini cobalt?

08+ double din style factory radios in the US are onstar ready. Or aftermarket radios with the onstar compatibility harness thing which is expensive.

i installed a 07 radio, the radio worked but my airbag lights were on, and the dimmer didnt work because the radio as not onstar ready. having airbags seems important for such a little car, but i truly dislike how integrated onstar is for an add on pay service. i think once the service runs out thy should be required to remove the system for you.

by the way im still im kudos to u for helping with the springfdeal it workd great
im sure the radio i tryd was from an 08 non onstar car
all workd but onstar ,,lol untill it just quit
so im guessing if we wanna keep onstar ,,we gotta get an aveo radio from an onstar car
reason im saying mini cobalt look at cobalt motor then look at 09-10 aveo engine
look at inside of cobalt then look at aveo
09-10 aveos share stuf with cobalt

      be nice people.

considering i have a cobalt in the family, i have to say if anything the cobalt is a bloated, outdated "newly" designed lumina. (cobalt is even worse than my cavalier) Now the interior is similar because it is a chevy, and one of the new steps gm made (that i like) is making all the interiors complement each other.. this is better from a sales and look stand point in many ways. the only thing engine related is the both have ecotec on them.

there is nothing shared between them though, the aveo until the sonic was made on the opposite side of the world. that also means you need an aveo radio, and only an aveo radio. to keep onstar and factory. ebay is cheap. but you can also buy an aftermarket radio and put an interface in it. but just the interface costs more than a ebay listed oem cd player. if you can find one that will work in the aveo, as its the only chevy to have a daewoo harness.
