LOOLL you guys crack me up... i would go with the subs mate but i cant as im going to be using this car as a daily car. and i do alot of trips to football matches i play like 3-4 times a week. and rather than going like some loaner i'd give my mates a lift as well instead of 4 cars going just 1
ive put the seat it just placed in tho.. and i opened my boot... reclined the SEAT ALLLL THEE WAYY BACKK!! loll my head was poping out the boot LOL found it kinda funny sorry.. could be nice when all the stars are out if i dont go with the entire see through roof idea... hmmm..!! ideas ideass..!
heres a pic of wht it kiiinda looks like with 1 seat loads of ehad room .. im well suprisd..
BTW I CAN HONESTLY SAY! after stripping this car i dont think ive EVERRR come across a car thats been built and designed sooooooo.... user friendly...
everything is easy to get to, everything clips in and out as it should without complication.. I MEAN THE REAR SEATS ARE JUST AMAZING.. pull 2 lil hooks from the boot area.. ENTIREEE rear seat section comes out CLEANNN... im gob smaked .. for a daewoo whos got such a crapy rep as well..! GO DAEWOO!!
im gona sound so dumb ... but im goig to ask to double check..
someones said to me that where im planning to mount the seats is the top of the fuel tank..
soo umm isnt that a bad idea to be welding/drilling around there...
as i dont plan to die by tryna fit rear bucket seats LOL!
i dont have a ramp, not have a i drilled in to the ground to get under the car to be able to drop the entire tank and work under it...
and i dont feel to comfy workin with a car on axl stands fidling about that much... have 2 admit bit scard of tht 1... loll dont fancy my car droping on me .... eaakk!
jack stands are safest. just make sure they are secure.
if you do concrete blocks, make sure the holes (if using ones with holes) go vertically only, otherwise they might collapse under the pressure (not with an aveo, but in general).
where it looks like it is sitting (on the cross beam) i dont see you drilling through the actual floor. i would probably build a bracket that used the seat belt bolts across the back, and then drill the front cross beam with access holes in the side for nuts and bolts..
Building a tub frame and mounting brackets out side the car is the way to go. After everything fits the way you want then just bolt the finished frame in the car. That way all your welding is done outside the car and you have much more room to work.
lars, you and i are thinking along the same lines.. i just havent looked to see if there is enough room (for positioning) for a full frame versus a few separate brackets.
