      Redone center console, 2008 sedan

Mine was all worn and looked like crap, so I went down to pepboys and bought a can of the OEM paint color and painted it, it looks great now, I also put a clear plastic vinyl over the front of the piece so that it it wouldn't scratch because i use that area alot.

      Materials:
1 Can of paint, color of your choice
      2 sanding blocks
      Somewhere to paint
      2 hours of your time

a good primer and clear coat would help with the scratching issue.

      nice work.

I didn't want to buy clear coat, it was just a quick little budget fix, and I like the way the OEM medium gray looks when its flat. thanks though

How did you take that off, I am assuming thatg it has to do with the two round cut aways on the side of its base?

Yes, those covers pop off and you just unscrew them, there are also a couple screws towards the front on each side as well, then I believe you just pull it up and the other pieces either unscrew or snap off, it was really simple. just always be careful because Aveo parts brake easy as I'm sure you already or soon will know well.
