      Removing interior trim

Hey I want to paint my grey interior plastic parts red, such as the 2 small ones on the steering wheel, but I'm not sure how to take them all out. The ones on the doors and dash give a lot of resistance so i don't want to break them like I did to my speaker grills, just wondering if there is an easier way. :P

Size: 51.3 KB that surrounds the shifter, I have a sheet of carbon fiber vinyl I'm trying to apply to it to cover the nicks and scratches left by the previous owner.

I have found dash panels come up easiest by prying with a flathead a little bit, then popping them off with an awl or philips head screwdriver (something thicker)

the things on the steering wheel pry right off with a flathead. Be warned, they are a bitch and a half to get back on.
chmw4r, sorry i cant help ya bud, i have a manual

You can buy the 5 piece set of trim and molding tools from harbor freight if you don't want to go Pickles' route and risk damaging the trim panels in question. Here's a link to the trim tools in question: 5 Piece Auto Trim and Molding Tool Set

Be careful with the 2010. All the trim pieces are screwed in.

They are easy to get on and off. For the doors just take off the panel and unscrew them. The dash one are the hardest. They are all held on by screws. Take out the glove box for the passenger side. Take off the panel below the steering wheel for the drivers side
