theres no airbag cover, the thing you see is the airbag I wouldnt try to pry it.
you'll find it here; http://chevy.mrmax.dp.ua/EN/documents/K ... kalos.html
go to Service Manual, then Restraints, then Suplimental Inflatable Restraints, then Maintenance & Repair, then On Vehicle Service, then Service Precaution, then passenger airbag module
After you disconnect the module, you can then take the airbag out of the dash...you can find that pic under Service Manual, then Restraints, then Suplimental Inflatable Restraints, then General Description & System Operation, then Airbag Modules
Looks like six screws hold it in place, after you take out the glovebox, they should be visable.
Kool thx

my fiance hates the airbag, said one just went off in her mothers car and kncoked her mom out for no appearant reason. Can I legally take it out?
Depends where you are. At the minimum, you have to let your insurance company know, and they may or may not change the premium.
On the flip side, if you get hit by someone, their insurance can contest any injury claims when they find out the air bags were intentionally disabled.
