Replacement cover for manual shifter (shifter boot)

Found this while browsing on AliExpress. It looks like a direct replacement for the manual transmission shifter cover (shifter boot). I know mine is quite worn after all these years so I'll be getting one at some point soon. Just thought I'd share with everyone.

I wanna know how you got shifter knob off? I wanna change mine to HURST T-handle. Somewhere or somebody claims its glued on and wont come off unless you break it. If so, is the remaining steel round enough to add ASE threads for American made shifter knob?
