replacing the stock radio with a different stock radio

does the wiring harness from an aveo hatchback with no cd player match a wiring harness from another with a cd player. i want to have an actual radio instead of listening to the news. thank you

going from stock w/o CD to stock w/CD? i would assume its the same but couldnt tell you, id recommend upgrading to an aftermarket headunit, the sound quality will be a lot better and you will have more options and gadgets. with going with an aftermarket headunit a dash kit and wiring harness will be needed... also the more i think about it there may be a size difference between the stock w/CD and stock w/o CD so you may need a dash kit anyways i would research that if i were you and see if theres a difference... although i think they are all double din units from the factory..

the harness plugs are the same. there are two different harness though, change is pretty much with dash style, except early 07 sedans.

you will probably need to buy a kit online.

I bought my dash kit and harness off of ebay, it was less than $20 for both. I dont remeber exactly though, it was almost 3 years ago. From what i remember though, the two different harnesses were a difference of hatchback or sedan
