      Salt

So the other night I decided to vacuum my car and clean out the salt thats accumulated over the winter.
Anyone got any pointers on how to clean out the salt? I vacuumed as much of the loose stuff I could then scrubbed with soap and water and a stiff bristle brush but there are still areas where the carpet is hard.

Also before I soaped u the carpet I pulled it up, and on the driver's side I noticed that aside from salt seeping through the carpet(which I vacuumed up) the foam sound deadening was soaked with water, so I had to vaccum that too. I really need to get bigger rubber floor mats.

because we put salt on the roads and pathways so we don't slip and kill ourselves.
