      Sedan Back Speakers

Apparently our unit doesn't have speakers at the the back.

What size will fit at the back? Also, is it just plug and play? No wiring needed?

You will need 6 3/4 inch speakers. And if you don't want to cut the existing wiring harness, you'll need something like this.
I leased Pontiac Wave from September 2006 to August 2011.

That seems very strange, are you 100% sure about that? I have never heard of a car with only 2 speakers

Strange in deed. It took us few months to notice that there just some cover with no speakers in it. Look inside the trunk and woah la! Just a cover and a hole for the speakers!

I guess to lessen the unit price they took out the 2 rear speakers.

What do you call that kind of wiring? When you inside the trunk there are this kind of connector. But I think are female connectors.

If I manage to get those connectors and speakers, just plug and play right?

Just to add, I'm getting confused with these 2-way 3-way 4-way speakers. What do I need for my Aveo?

I have a sedan also and I put in 6.5 3-way speakers in my rear, I cut the wires. Pretty simple positive to positive, negative to negative!!

Hi! I'm glad to be a new member of this group. I got my new Aveo 2013 (Base Model - Sedan) last month. Same with "Kulaps", I just discovered after a week or two that my unit don't have rear speakers..I called my dealer to inquire and was told that base model don't have rear speakers. I inquired them also about issue on warranty if I am going to install new speakers..

TO Kulaps..Hi Bro, I'm from PH too..How's your progress installing rear speakers on your unit? Have you found the connectors?..What brand and size did you install? Kindly update me, because I'm planning to mount new speakers too in my aveo. Thank you.

TO Ontario_frog...Thank you very much for the link..At least I got an idea about the connectors.. May I ask what's the difference between 6 3/4 and 6.5 size speakers? Are they just the same? Thanks.

Bro, haven't started yet. I'm thinking that I will have my dealer install it so I won't be voiding any warranty. I'm just still canvassing for a decent speakers. Also, i'm planning to upgrade the stock head unit.
