      ahhh i c, did you cut just above the reverse-lockout? does the lockout still work?

      yup it still working
      I was cuting the shaft anyway to shorten it
      I just cut the sleeve a little shorter than the shaft to leave some place to screw the new knob

      you can most likely use an automatic handle maybe someone else here that have done it before can help you more

      Should be able to use most aftermarket non-threaded manual knob (depending on how the stock automatic knob is), cuz it's a gated shift and doesn't have a lockout button.
