Speaker spacers.
I was wondering what type (brand) of speaker spacer you guys would say I should use for 6.5 inch speakers in the front. I have read through a bunch of old posts. If I have to resort to making my own I will, but I'm lazy. I just want to make sure I get the right one the first time and not spend more time screwing around. If you have a link to one that would be awesome.
-Thanks.

this is what I bought Amazon.com: Metra 82-4300 1-Inch Universal Speaker Adapter Brackets: Car Electronics . they should arrive monday. I will get around to trying to install 6.5 inch speakers sometime in the next coming week. i will let you know what i figure out.....

Note--Amazon says it won't fit, but people have said you will end up using only 3 of the four holes.

Thanks, I went ahead and ordered a different kind. Im sure anything will work with a minor modifcation.

Just an update for orhers in need of this info. The Metra 1" spacers work well. No clearance issues. I used Kenwood shallow mount 6.5s.

Looks like this has already been answered but here goes will the scosche as65 1" universal speaker spacers for 5.25 and 6.5 speakers fit my 2010 aveo ? As on amazon it tells me it won't just making sure as in England they are quite a lot of money :/

Or will MDF work better ? Please something reply with help!! Or link to buy 1" mdf spaces thank you.

Any universal 1 inch spacer will work. I had 5.25" speakers that weren't shallow mount and added a 5/8" MDF spacer to the 1" Metra I got and I was still able to get the door panel back on the door.
