I agree that this stereo will work fine for upgrade over stock. But if you're looking for a little more quality/reliability my advice is to save up and spend at least in the $100 range with a name like Pioneer, Kenwood, Sony, JVC, etc.

Stumpy, how long ago did you buy your car? If you bought it on the premise that it was a 2009, I'd be pretty choked to find out it was a 2008. 2009 saw the introduction of the ECOTEC engine, which has a longer timing belt interval, and overall doesn't develop leaks as badly as the previous model. I've owned both a 2004 and a 2010, the 2010 was hands down a pretty sizeable step up in fit and finish, quality, etc. I'm not knocking the 1st generations out there, but I found my 2010 was probably closer to the Sonic in overall quality then the 1st gen Aveos.
