      Sub and Amp

Ok, recently I upgraded the deck and speakers and now it's time for a sub and amp. I don't have all the cash quite yet, but that doesn't matter since I'm still hung on the decision... which of these would be best? Or is there something else out there better?

      For an amp I was thinking http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/prodde ... 473&catid=
And I'm pretty sure that can power these (just 1):

      or
      http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/prodde ... 06&catid=#

But which one would sound better and give me more bass (along with sounding good)?

BTW... my cardomain page is: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2913239

Well, I don't exactly "agree" to your choices but whatever you think you would like is better. The equipment you chose can work together so theres no problem there.

However, I don't "agree" with them because of my #1 policy regarding audio equipment...

I can't buy online because of my age... so stores around me are a must.
But how much do you think this will pound? And which is better?

Being the Bass Head I am & given the your choices Id say go with the Fosgate Sub by far. Nothin against Pioneer....but its like comparing an el camino and a Hummer ( a 300w RMS Hummer).

That amp will put out maybe 250-275 RMS at all times if everything installed professionally. which is enough for the RF sub. its a good match really.

Plus it will hit the lows tight and still get loud. I really recommend a vented / slot ported enclosure definitley.

I'd buy online, esp with audio stuff. Find someone that has a credit card, or paypal, a friend or something.

For example, my headunit was $2900 at the audio stores around here, I got it for $955 shipped with warranty. That's an extream case, but still.

I was on eBay when I was sixteen. It was my parents account but I had permission and they had the money shortly after I committed to buy.

Rockford is a trusted brand but underpowered IMO. Alpine and Audiobahn are great bang for the buck products.

my personal faves are the jl audio w7's! one ten inch will rock your car like you have a pair of 12s.

yea we all love the high high end subs but given the choices the kid gave us odds are he has a tight budget. thats why the RF is what i recommended, itll have the best balance of tightness and loudness, if you want the bass to be more loud and not quite as tight / less sql levels etc. id get a ported or vented enclosure. its up to him though....

well the fosgate sube he was lookin at was 180 and i found a single 8inch w7 in an enclosure for 280. so its like kind of close when all is said and done cus unless you know how to make a good box, your gonna have to buy one and you may as well get something good that will pound just right, and take up minimal trunk space.

its the very last listing on the bottom.

i suppose he could do that as well, although using that amp with that sub would be degrading to the sub lol, the w7's are elite while that mtx amp is mediocre at best. he could take either route and still be happy with the choice.
