      Sub Boxes...

So I am trying to decide what types of Sub Boxes would look good in the aveo. I was watching some YouTube videos and found this link:

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJr2M0eo ... re=related

The speaker box on top of the decklid looks pretty cool, would anyone be interested in that? Also thinking about making some sub boxes that would fit into the rear tires wells and face out so that the trunk can still be used for other things. Working on this design for my Jeep, it if works out I'll try it on an Aveo...

Just shooting some ideas before bed...

The one Frank did for the Hatch Tray was a great idea, though I'm not personally a fan of the sound of 6x9's. It looked very clean too. I also suggest that for the hatches that left and right side sub boxes to replace the carpet fender covers would be a great idea, still leaving the floor space open, as well as access to the spare tire well.

Also, in the trim panels there is a stock location in the rear (again for the hatch) for 6x9 in the pieces that support the deck tray. You'll see xtreme 2 when you get those pieces that they would be easily converted to a smoother "fit-what-you-want" panel for something like a 6.5" component set and tweeter, or like even an 8" midbass sub with a little finess.

As for the sedan guys I have seen some good ideas following the line of the fender well sub boxes and a customized rear deck plate. Maybe a nice trim panel with the mounting hardware built in would help them in a clean installation.

Again, I speak for most average listeners when I say something subtle and no too flashy would be best, since the bigger and brighter an enclosure is, the more likely to attract unwated attention, and the fewer people that may like the particular design.

I'd suggest looking into those Slim-Fit 10" subs (Blaupunkt? I think, kinda look like movie reels) for the fender enclosures.

But I would say I'd prefer smaller subs personally if I were to do that...weight of those may be too much for our rear suspension... Serioulsy though, I'd like to see something in an 8" or 10".
