Is there a name for this large piece of plastic?

Anyone know if it'd be OK to take this long and flimsy piece of plastic out?
It sits behind the back seats and part of it goes underneath the seats, which is what the 2nd pic is showing. Also, it's only held in with 3 of those crappy plastic screw thingys, haha.....

i dont see why it would hurt anything..
just make sure the seat covers will be secure otherwise (it looks like your pointing out 3 different pieces)

It's all one piece. Just showing different angles.

Looks like it's mostly aesthetic. Kinda wonder if it's covering anything under the squares in that second pic, or just guiding the seatbelts. If there is an access panel under there make sure you don't permanently block it, could save you some trouble in the future. Other wise it's not structural or supportive so pull it and see what is underneath. If you can do without it there you go, if not, put it back in and work around it.

I will think of a better signature later.

yes, in pic 2 there's nothing in or underneath those squares, save for one has the excess wiring from my amp. I think it's best to say that this 'thing' is really for guiding those seat belt locks.

Ever try to fish those latches out when the fall in the seats? It's a pain in the ass. I'm glad they thought to put something there to help. Now if only they could have been more thoughtful on some other areas of the car.
