Hi, I ended up installing 4x6 Kickers(DS46) in the rear of my '09 Aveo 5. Should have taken advice from a previous post cause they sound like crap from stock deck . Sadly the CF adviser recommend them over both Polk and Infinity Reference 4x6. Anyways, for the front doors I am thinking about ordering 6.5 coaxials (Kicker DS60) using 1inch spacer. Hoping will make a bit of difference. Because the Kickers will be 2-way, how do I disconnect the pillar tweeters? Is their a stock crossover somewhere because I have the stock 6-speaker system? May also change stock deck but Sat XM has been always working, even since trial ended LONG time ago. lol I could care less but wife uses it.

The crossover is built into the speaker. Just pull the A-pillar cover off and unplug the speaker.
I leased Pontiac Wave from September 2006 to August 2011.

Thanks, been searching without luck and wondering how to remove/replace the tweeter? May now go with the Kicker DS6.2 components or DS60 coaxials. Anyways either way I will need the stock tweeters disconnected or replaced. Any help will be great! I may be wrong but looks like the pillar cover will have to be pulled off - I see no clips. Also IF I decide to upgrade the stock deck will a low profile powered sub fit under the seat?

A sub will not fit under the seat, I don't think. I would build a spare tire box with maybe a fake floor to help give it a little room for excursion. The tweeter is one big unit. It's not separate like aftermarket ones are, just yank it out. I really would recommend component speakers though, nothing beats having separate mids/highs..

components at front makes the most difference,
and if you aim the tweeters to your face, it sound whole lot better.

Being able to aim the tweeters make all the difference in the world. I wish I could even throw another set of tweeters along with a kick panel for a complete 2nd set of components. But that's dreaming a little big hahaha

that is not a too big of a dream! car audio now days are very cheap, cheap like dirt, compare when i got all the gears for high price back in 2003 , my alpine 65x4rms amp costed me like $800

i can get a kicker 6.5 inch component set for $75
a nicer kicker one i have is only $150 (with a 1" tweet)
      2 channel amp MB quart 125w x 2 rms, $150

if you make a kick, , is it easy to make another copy ? ship it to me, i will pay you some.

another concern is, what power the extra set of front components? have to run it on 2 ohm at the amp?

      how to wire them,
