Well God Damn Alpine Deck!! **Update, FINISHED INSTALL. PIXs

      Hey everyone! Merry Christmas.

Well unless anyone has any suggestions, im just gunna be pissed until its installed

Hey thanks to everyone that helped me through my first install, after much frustration, I found out I had a blown fuse. SO fixed it and it works great now.

I drilled holes in mine too, what ever you do, DONT cut the original harness, I made that mistake and Im regretting it because I have cut wires, connected to more cut wires and then the aftermarket harness...and it was a pain to install, so do it right the first time....

How do I now rewire the CD player? Is it as easy as match up the same colored wires? Cause some of em don't match.

      I have a Alpine CDE-9881

What do I need to get this working correctly

Daewoo harnesses work, though those are probably becoming increasingly harder to find I imagine.. Alot of shops /salespeople dont know this and try to overcharge saying you cant or it's too difficult to install aftermarket decks, like with cavaliers.

When I demanded a daewoo harness the price went from $140 down to $8.

when I got mine installed, they thought they had the correct harness, but they didnt so the hard wired it for free (usually $40)

When I get my new cd player, who knows if I'll install it myself. I did all my car audio in my old car and decided Im not doing it in this car. And now that they cut the factory harness it'll be more of a pain to install a new one.

Don't cut your factory wires... please.

get an adapter for the car.

metraonline.com says that Metra Electronics Corp. 70-8405
DAEWOO 2000-UP - INTO CAR is the one for your need.

Spilce the wires on the aftermarket harness if you must, but don't splice the wires on the car itself.

      harness on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Daewo...spagenameZWD1V

the head unit should come with a diagram as to what wire does what, and the wiring harness will come with a diagram as well... then you just match the two up, sauder, and tape off.

We did it with a 07 hyudia santa fe wasn't near as bad as i thought it would be
