wow, you guys weren't kidding about the difficulty of the 5 channel amp. I decided to run wire from the amp to each speaker instead of jury rigging it into the back of the head unit. Running wires though the door is ANNOYING AS F. Though the little black wire tunnel in the door, I had to run a wire from amp to crossover and also the crossover-to-tweeter wire. So 2 wires.

The hole is hard to access from the cabin because its blocked by a casing, bubble of metal thing, with only one little hole in it. Also there is a serial port thing jammed in there on the door jamb side. I had to take the door off! Currently only one of my tweeters is working, so I might have pinched the wire when I put the serial port back in. UGH

Another problem I had was with the rear speaker trays. The speaker mount didnt fit in there! So, what I did was remove the speaker mount and cut the back side of it to accommodate the speaker. I was only able to use 3 screws though, ohwell.

I'm having difficulty mounting my deck in the dash, the screw thing in the back doesn't fit my deck. I'm sure I can figure this out tomorrow.

I'm still not done, but I took a few pictures along the way which I will post when I'm done with everything. At this point I wish I payed someone to do it, but it will be done eventually and I would have saved a few hundred bucks. Maybe my pictures will help out other newbies. On the bright side the JL 8w7 is AWESOME. I did not expect it to sound this good, it seriously sounds like I have a 12in sub with very high sound quality
