      tweeter location

Where does the tweeter go on a 2010 aveo5? I haven't started yet but it looks like it goes in the door panel where that little circle thing is above the speaker, here is a pic. http://images.gtcarlot.com/pictures/39536032.jpg

But I've seen some with the tweet in the A piller. Where does it go?!

      I have a 2009 pontiac G3.
      Alpine CDE-9874 deck.
Diamond M641 component system up front.
      Stock speakers in the rear.
JBL 12, in some crazy pre made box by JBL.
      All powered by a JBL GT5 A604.

For 4 inch speakers, they sound AMAZING.

Spaghettijesus, the tweeter goes up in the trim, sort of above the dash.

      here's what I'm getting

      Infinity kappa five amp $250
Infinity reference 6.5 components (w/ one inch spacer ring) $105
      Infinity reference 4x6 $ 54
JL audio 8w7 in sealed box $200 used off CL
      2 farad capasitor $29
Kenwood excelon ddx 7015 dvd w/nav (I had this already)

total $638, 38 dollars over budget but still pretty good
(still need harness, dashkit, maybe some wiring but I have a lot at home already. Probably another 40 bucks or so right here)
I am reluctant to post on here after the bashing I took from AveoSS when I first came on, but here goes.

      With all due respect.....
I will give you some constructive information/advice/criticism. Please do not take it the wrong way.

      Infinity kappa five amp:
This will be a lot of work for a beginner. You will need an amp install kit with at least 4ga. wire for pwr and gnd and 3 sets of signal cables.

Infinity reference 6.5 components (w/ one inch spacer ring):
Check the mounting depth on the woofers. might be too deep

JL audio 8w7 in sealed box:
JL audio is great stuff, but 8" is too small. If you want some thump you need at least 10" or 12". sealed box is for tight bass. get a ported box

      2 farad capasitor:
waste of money...take it back for an amp kit

Kenwood excelon ddx 7015 dvd w/nav:
      best part of your system!

If you wire this right, with 4ga for pwr and gnd, 12ga for the sub as well as other speaker wire and signal wire, it will be WAY more than 40 bucks.

      Hope this helps.

I prefer JL spaghettijesus. when I first put this system together I had a JL 8W6, on the JL Audio 250/1 and the 8W6 being used and quite a few years old, it only lasted a few weeks, a coworker at the time gave me an alphasonik 8 he had, that worked pretty good for about 4 months before it had a fried v/c, I then bought a Kicker CVT8 which had the best response and sound, a few months later I found a deal for a single JL 10W1 in a sealed box so I upgraded, a few weeks after that, i came across a deal with 2 JL10W1s for $60 and couldnt resist. I have run JL Audio on and off for 13 years, Ive always been pleased with their product.
Running a 5 channel amp wont be as scary as some people think. Compared to alot of systems, a 5 channel is simpler, you only have 1 power and 1 ground instead of 1 each for every amp. for having to run multiple sets of RCAs, it does not matter if its a 5 channel amp, or a sub amd and mids/highs amp either way you will need RCAs for all channels you will utilize. speaker wire is the same way. I would like to see instal pics when your done

I agree with Aveo Garbage. This is the biggest piece of crap I have ever owned. Uneven tire wear, check engine lights, rattles and squeaks, I knew it was cheap, but it is falling apart. And who in this thread called it a domestic? Its a daewoo from Korea. I was just looking at the new Fit sport, thats what Chevy needs to copy to get back in the game.

      ...just saying...

on topic, i think you spent a bit too much (I see you used craigslist though) i see amp/speaker combos used for $200 or less, good brands too. Infinity is pretty good though, I just would not want to be the one to put it in
