The horn is behind the grill infront of the radiator
as for the stock alarm, im not sure...
I'd love to change my horn too. Get something a little less, shall we say, wimpy.
Put a train horn in there
ha that would be funny but a train horn would probally blow off the front end...
Im thinking something like a grand am or something....
Anyone have suggestions over a horn....
TRAIN HORN LOL... NICE... the horn and alarm are the same unit... located behind gril and on left side as you are looking at the front end. looks like this @ almost
****..
I havent had time to look yet but if its the same unit then I dont know how easy it will be to make the horn its own unit ...
No the horn and siren are not the same unit. I'll check tomorrow for the location of the siren.Quote:

As for the Alarm siren. it is bit hidden. If you look at the windshield washer reservoir funnel there is a cylindrical looking object at its base. thats the siren.
Its #3 on this diagram

well my mistake looked at my car "horn" a little closer never really did. i have an aftermarket keyless entry with mine the way i bought it never bothered to change it. but when the alarm does go off it comes from the horn itself, wierd too because i got 2 wires running from that area by the resavour to my horn. idk maybe ghetto rigged but it works
i didnt know it was two seperate
so easy to find the horn
Thanks
Ill update in the next while when I find a better horn....
I installed a low tone horn from a Dodge truck. Connector adapter at Autozone.
More of a manly horn now and I actually look forward to honking at people now.
Yes I once saw a car with a truck horn. That sounded impressive. People will dash aside and make room for you miles away.
I'm replacing my horn with one from a Ford Super Duty next week. It's almost embarassing to honk at someone.
You mean with the old or new one?Quote:

The horn of this car has been one of my 2 complaints! WAY too wimpy!
well i finally put the horn in...
i got a ford taurus horn it has two in one ...
only 5 dollars ... i made the bolt hole where the stock one went a bit larger and the taurus one bolted right in..
i also had to splice the wires of course
orange to the stock yellow wire
and black to black.
it is dam loud i like it now...
a real easy mod
this is what it looks like..
just make sure you aim the horn facing the groud so it does not act like a cup and fill with water that might blow in.....i doubt it but didnt want to find out i was right..
