For that design I would probably go 17. But the brakes won't fill them in as well as 16s. Plus they would look great really if the car was lowered to the ground. Which you can go a little further with 16s and a 205/40. Than the 17.
It's really up to you.
A 215/40/16 is closer to the stock tire size.
Whereas even a 205/40/17 is bigger than the stock tire size.
For that reason (And the reason that I prefer SOME tire sidewall to my daily driver) I say go with 16".
However, for looks only, I say go with the 17" if you've got a good set of brakes behind them.
This is what I'm going with - 16" with a 215/40 tire, and dropped a bit.

To me definetely 17x7 with 205/40-17, bigger wheels fill the fender better and u can still lower it.
Thanks for the input guys!
I've decided to go with the 16"s.
I'll get pics up once they're equipped.
Next, will be getting disc brakes and having the car lowered :D
oh btw...I forgot to mention that I have the sedan and not the hatchback style lol.
wohoo another sedan owner. Ive done the same thing you are about to do just waiting on funds to finish lowering.
Oh man!
So I had the wheels installed today! They look hella bomb! :D
lol, I'll have pics up later this weekend.
Here's a crappy cell phone pic for now until I get my camera out :D
