17" !!? ON A 08 WAVE?
Alright guys I know people have installed 17" rims with out a problem here but i just wanna confirm and see your opinions on it.
So I drive a 08 Pontiac G3 (wave) sedan and I just wanna know if a 17" rim would fit and turn (as in wheel angle, and of course turn to go :lol: ) with out rubbing? I'm currently on some 15" inch stock honda rims (LOL) and it looks pretty unspacious (maybe its just me) already just for a 16" so yeah any help guys?

There's a member on here with 18's on his. Personally, with a car as small as the Aveo/Wave/G3/Kalos/Barina, I wouldn't go bigger than 16 inches.

17s will work well! even on u turns. plus u can get a good amount of tire with 17s~

LOL theres nothing fancy to see man, just looks like regular factory stock wheels its cuz i got the pontiac hub cap on it haha with out the hub cap its ugly :lol: u no them honda stocks hahahahaha

i would go no bigger than 15-16 but 17s will fit easily, 18s work as well, somebody on cardomain even put 20s on it as well lol

rims sizes fit based on tire choices and wheel offset. a low offset 17 will rub, too high and it will rub inside. too big of a tire, it will rub everywhere..
i run 15s with really small tires. they barely fit :P

That's my answer when people ask why I want to tune the LQ1 in my Monte... most people just do an L67 swap and toss the LQ1 to the side... despite the LQ1 having much more potential, people just don't want the hassle of it.

not hating here and i know its my 3rd post but man im not really feelin that wave i like low and lines i think 16s with a drop would fill those wheel wells perfect i know its not a wave but this is what im shooting for in my wave

I personally would've gone an inch bigger on that Jetta. My ex has one of the same generation so I have some experience with them.

I was running 17 b4 I went to the coilovers couldent get the look I was shottin for so I sold the bbs rs and put my centrals on

I run 17x7 with 205/40-17, fit perfect, no rubbing and looks great, anything bigger u will have to do some modifieng.
