2006 Aveo....Bushings collapsed

Hi.....I want to know what would make the rear bushings collapse on a 2006 Aveo with 95 thou miles.....Bought the car new at age 59....have taken good care of care....never hauled anything like a boat or trailer....I am only driver....and WHY would GM make the bushings a one piece unit with the rear axel so you must purchase the entire axel......Thanks

Alas, you have complained with many others. This should piss you off even more. I drive my care aggressively over railroad tracks, pot holes, and speed bumps. My rear is hanging just fine. Right now I am 113K miles. What do you mean collapsed?
