Man I miss my old '78 rabbit diesel.. top speed of 67MPH.....LOL

But to keep it on topic. With the stock height I am looking to go with the 215/35R18....ewww

I may just stick with the ever-so-cheap 215 17 combo.

those 18"s would be just under 24" rolling diameter.. the 215/40r 17 is just over 23 3/4 " its less the a 1/4 inch height difference.

I know but getting those size tires here would take an act of god. Almost every rim shop here has deals on 205(215) 40 17's because everyone & their grandmother uses them.

I just want some 18's but cannot fathom having to send over $800 extra just because of some damn tires.

In the states I can find anything. Been doing this a LONG time.

But if you do not mind paying shipping to Panama then hey.
      Shipping tires to Panama...HAHAHAHA

      $80/ea

so with their shipping to MIA then, MIA to PTY I am looking at

      $240 tires
      $ 65 shipping to MIA
      $320 shipping to PTY
      _________________________
      $625 for $60 tires

This is also with no spare or extras, just 4 'ol tires.

One of the few things I hate about living here. Trying to customize anything PROPERLY, just isnt in the cards. Pretty much have to settle for what is in stock here.

      Everything is still in pieces.

Still have to spend money on a head, port and polish. gaskets, bearings. And getting the block machined. not to mention clearing the block for the crank, and drilling it for full flow. New oil pump. Light weight pulleys (timing and accessory). Etc.

Then i can start on my tranny.
      ITBs for aveo?
      Any pics to pm me?

I have some items you may be interested. Pulleys etc.
