Well, it's almost time for me to replace Scoot's tires, and I've been having trouble finding them in her size. Most of the big name brands (Bridgestone, Firestone, Continental, etc.) have absolutely less than bupkis in the way of our standard wheel. Can anyone recommend tires that are of good quality and won't render me penniless?
the last set of tires i bought was from walmart they where Douglas performance gt-h. pretty good deal for 4 with road hazard.
I said Good Quality and Won't leave me Penniless, not Cheap and Nasty. (I've had Douglas before, and they were Noisy, and Wore out VERY Fast.)Originally Posted by classic67
in my opinion, firestone ad such has really missed the boat for a long long long time with this tire size. VW from 1985-1999 uses this size OEM. There are A LOT of great tires available in that size, as well as a lot of cars that use them.
i always hates how firestone tries to pass off that your the only person on the planet that needs that size tire.
bridgestone, firestone, goodyear, nankang, nitto, sumitomo, falken, toyo, michelin etc all offer multiple tires in 185/60r14.
one itty bitty issue: its the Wrong Size, and I don't want my speedo to be inaccurate.
Just go to tire rack and you can see what selection they have.....I got my bf goodrich tires from them last year and they've been great so far.
