Was Aveo the last car in US/Canada with manual steering?

i have seen it for vw, mustangs, civics ,subaru etc.. not an aveo specifically. but you could change the gears inside by welding different ratios to the shaft etc..

i dont think the aveo needs a tighter radius though, i already change lanes on the highway with a flick of the wrist.
