Zoomed in at the center of the bar. The bar is following the sloping of the seats. Meaning its parrellel to the seat gradient for minimal obstruction while loading shopping bags behind. Its abt 1.5 inch away from the seat. Making it as close to seat also to cause less obstruction and prevent wastage of useful baggage space. Its also near to the tissue paper board (i call it as I always put a box of tissue on it, the board with speakers on it) so that the bar do not stick in the middle of the boot wasting space.

Its secured on 2 nuts each side. Trust me, it works, the rear is so much stiffer now especially when I go pass bumpy corners.
what are those little knobs for? are they for the dampers?
Its for my coilovers.Quote:

I posted the pictures somewhere in this forum. You do a search should be able to find.
I found it and copied over here.
I installed a set of coilovers into my ride. Its 32 steps adjustable for shock hardness or softness. Its ride height adjustable and spring preload adjustable. Both front and back can be adjusted. Comes with anti roll bar linkage for the front as well.
I would say they are the best suspension setup ever for aveo. If you only install those lowering spring from Apex, H&R, Vogland, the original shock is too soft. If you installed koni shocks, they are hardness adjustable but not height and preload adjustable.
Each set should cost abt $1.4k US plus shipping.

What's that thing under the front strut bar that says "MONSTER"? Also, what did you have to modify on the rear strut bar?
The monster thing is a vacuum tube. Increase vacuum reservoir, increase throttle response and braking power.Quote:

Ok thanks
man that strut bar is hot . i want to get one
I can't really run a rear strut bar, I live in alaska and when you increase the rigidity in the rear end of FWD cars up here the rear end tends to walk around turns on the ice. It's fun, but I dont want my girlfriend wrecking my car going to the store lol.
Actually, it looks like only 1 bolt per side on the center connection...maybe I could just take it out in the winter.
mannn.....i want all these goodies =(
xiaogary;how much shipped for 2 lower front braces for an aveo5 2007.-62351-
hey does anyone know what model/year civic's those direct bolt up tie bars are from... :)
im gona need a set real soon seeing as i choped my roof off and replaced it with the lexan roof. i need to improve the handling big time before i get my car back on the road. and i think £100+gbp for 1 strut is alot to pay for the ultra racing ones :(
soo im thinking of just shopping around and finding a decent set for a civic that bolts up even if its just the ender ties.. il still save money.. and il just get the ultra racing front uper strurt worse case scenario..
someone heellllp :( plls
go to ultraracing.ca and click on 2002 aveo, hatchback is same specs, they have strut bars, and sway bars i believe
edit: skipped reading the last couple of posts that mentoin ultra...
wait, a guest can post? thats gotta be an open door for spam?
Probably a former member that quit or changed their name.
Steve
if you can dish the time and money for a lexan roof you should be able to pay for the strutbar
