I was under a 2001 VW Jetta VR6 today, helping a friend out with some wiring. While down there I got a good look at the suspension of his car. It is very close to the same suspension setup we have in our aveos. Now I am wondering just how much we have in common with the VW's?
Any one with any thoughts or knowledge on this?

Our suspension is pretty much the same as a VW. The newer VW's Im not so sure about, I havent had a chance to look at the MK5, or mk6 suspension. The mk2 and mk3 is pretty much the same suspension aveos have, The only difference is VW suspension has fine thread screws, and the dimensions are mm's off. Check out petrified.rabbits, coilover (crossover) thread and you can get a bit of an idea about the suspension.

the front of our cars is very very similar to a mk1-mk3 vw, the rear is more like a mk4.. with more in relation mk2-3 (as in strut placement etc). The mk5 has IRS, and such making it different. There are now others finding other vw parts fitting in the axle bushings etc.
hey guys was wondering if anyone has compared the vw beetle to the aveo. cause I was wondering if the awd beetle drive train would fit under the aveo to make an awd aveo. input ffrom you guys would be awesome.
awd beetle? in ontario? you have rsi beetles up there?
