BADDD clunking/grinding noise when turning left or right while driving

I have a 2007 aveo hatchback basic model, 120,000 miles. I havent replaced anything on it since I bought brand new in 2007. Last year about 80,000 miles I started having problems with loud road noise coming from the front tires, it almost sounded like the tires were rubbing against the wheel well. I took it to the repair shop for diagnosis and they said that my front struts needed to be replaced as well as "A-Arm bushings" (not sure what those are). Well I did not get that stuff fixed since then and the noise has been getting progressively worse and now at 120,000 miles there is a horrible horrible loud clunking almost grinding noise coming from the front end while driving. It seems only when I turn the steering wheel left or right, but it sounds so bad that I'm afraid to drive it. So I decided to replace the struts and strut mounts which I did myself and the horrible noise is still there.

Anyones input on what this could be would be amazing!!!

i would do the a arm bushings. simply put, buying new a arms as they come with the new bushings and ball joint, and then put those in.. IF the part was worn out 40k miles ago. I doubt it fixed itself.

Where did my post go? Anywho, rock auto has the control arms with bushings and ball joints for under $100. Here is a link to a post on it with some pictures of the install.
