Best tires for 15" rims

I love rollin' on 17's. I would go 18's w/ coils if the roads weren't so rough up here. A guy I work with had an orange aveo5 with black 18's on it...it was sick. I still need to check out where he got his turbo kit from.

My 2011 Chevy Aveo5 2LT has the 185/55/15. All i can find are $80+ tires for it. I found 185/65/15 for as low as $45.00. Im VERY financially strained at the moment and my tires are bald. I can't afford $350+ on tires. Will 185/65/15 tires work on my vehicle? Tire shop computers all say not a fit for my vehicle. I've read people comments online that said should b ok. What should i do? Will they (tire shops) not sell me 185/65/15 even if i tell them thats what i want? Please advice. Thanks. R.A.(Orlando, FL)
