      Best wheel size/width/offset

I'm assuming the best size when considering the best combo of ride quality, looks, and performance is a 16x7? If not then what do you guys think?

After looking into it, you could do a 205/45/16 and that's by far my favorite size sidewall for my car. Even better performance than a 40series if you choose a good tire.

So if you guys agree that 16x7" is best than what do you think the best offset is?

Most people dont think offset is that big of a deal, but on my car my wheels can't stick out or in another 2mm without hitting my brakes and/or rubbing..so getting the offset to the mm is important to me.

Most often I've seen an offset of around 38mm for Aveos, though mine is at 35mm because of the 17"x7" wheel combination. (You've seen it)

I love the look of 17's on Aveos, but you are right, for added comfort and sidewall stability a 16 would be more advantageous.

you could probably squeeze 38-35 mm offset up front and a little wider in the back if needed....the ideal setup for me would be 16"s with 215/40/16 with a 35 mm offset

Damn, I was gonna say I get buddy club wholesale but my supplyier only carrrys the lightweight/true race versions costing 700each

Damn I didn't think the Aveos would run that low. I need to take a closer look at your wheels whiteraven and that way they stick out. I dont want someone to buy wheels for the aveo from me, drop it looowwwww and the wheels stick out too far.

      Re: Best wheel size/width/offset

Hey, I'm looking at possibly buying these, can anyone tell me if they think they would fit. (Yes, I would try them first)

-He says he thinks the offset is 37.

"16" wheels, rims. 4x1004 tsw wheels. 16" 4x100 bolt pattern. wheels were pretty used when I got them curb marks on most. Tire on wheel is no good it is punctured. Two other tires included with some tread"

      Re: Best wheel size/width/offset

Is there a formula or something for knowing if a wheel will fit? Or a guide I can find somewhere?

      15" x 6.5" - 205/50R15.
      or
      185/65/R14 - 40 or 44 offset.

      Re: Best wheel size/width/offset

the only guide we have are members like me that have already changed their wheels.....

with the 15" x 6.5" id go with the 205/50R15 with a 40mm offset if those are your only two options
