i used all dupont, the yellow side marker is sprayable clear mixed to about 10% black, i did two coats which didn't look too dark until i snapped them back in. they are not open from behind.. so no light comes though and it appears black, with the yellow car i think leaving it yellow with the black behind it would look better, possibly? but the little corner bulb has like a 1"x2" square that still glows amber. The rest i used etch primer, and then black base, and top coated with a 50/50 mix of the base and clear to give it a textured plastic look.

the front chome is held in by 4 screws, and the turn signal is held in by 4 (one of which goes through the back of the housing). the silicone stuff the factory uses is really soft, once you get pulling the lens off you can get it easily. just be sure to not pull past the clip you unsnapped.

I think I'll just try to use that Krylon Fuzion Ultra Flat Black paint and see how that works. You shouldn't need Hi-temp paint or anything right? I can't mix paint for crap lol.

-- i don't know if i would use krylon fusion on it, the chrome coating means it is not raw plastic anymore? except i dont know the "physics" of plastic chrome, or what that fusion paint will stick to. i used an etch primer and then it was a clean slate for anything. you can buy etch primer in a spray can. and then use what ever color spray paint you want.
