$150 is for a single set, if we get 5, i would split the cost out, so it would only go down from there.
this would be for the adapter plate only, then you can get mk2/mk3/corrado rear brakes and bolt them on.

if you wanted fancy, and new you could get this and bolt it on:

Audi and Volkswagen Eurospec OE Design Performance Brake Kits

scroll to part #EBK 698 226 A2-A3-4R thats the rest of the conversion "brand new"

or you go to a pull it yard, shop craigslist for part outs, or look on vw sites, and find the whole conversion needing new pads and rotors for @ $50.. i paid $40 for my set up.

you would still need to hook up the brake line and e brake, but thats not too too hard.

And with me that equals 3! The not so red rocket would love some better braking.

I found that brakes were actually the one thing not lacking in autox.... just handling and speed lol. But with increases in handling and speed I will need better brakes!

Would these work with stock factory steel 14" wheel and tire combo. Because I use them for the winter driving.

the same brakes on a vw use 14" wheels. but there are differences from vw oem to aveo such as:

the hub of a aveo wheel is 56.6mm, the hub on the vw is 57.1mm now it would take about 5 minutes to sand the hub down.

the vw uses lug bolts, instead of studs

there will be track width changes, which have not been measure yet (but it is coming). This will move how far in/out the tire sit in the wheel well..

The aveo rims most likely will fit over the vw caliper since the fit over the front aveo caliper which is an issue for a lot of aftermarket wheels.

Will you also be posting a how-to rabbit once everything is finished? I would like to buy the adapter im just afraid it will be sitting around waiting to buy the conversion

the conversion.. i have two "complete" conversions sitting in my garage that I paid $40 each for.. love u pull it yards.

The explanation will be geared more towards setting it up than bolting it together. But I can explain it, yes.
