Very cool, how far out of alignment did the shop tell you it was?

Can't wait to see the pics...

the funny thing was is they said to align the car they needed to have weights dispersed through out the car ( i think they called it a weighted alignment or something) so they said they couldnt do a 100% alignment job.... does anyone nkow if this is true? so he said he aligned it without the weights but told me to take it to the dealer for a proper alignment.

but it does drive perfectly straight with no hands on the wheel forever down the highway, and there isnt any steering wheel shiver... so it seems right to me. or should i still take it to the dealer?

It could be "out of spec" and still drive straight, yes.

Out of alignment generally means that the wheels aren't within specific tolerances the factory determines to be best (camber, castor, and toe).

You can go well beyond the factory recommended specifications and the car still drive straight, however handling and tire wear characteristics will change, voiding any "tires for life" or similar deal.

Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far the wall moves after you hit it.

so does anyone know if the Weighted Alignment thing is true? cause if it is then I'll go to the dealer, but if its just a regular alignment job then im probably safe.

or should i go to the dealer anyways?

After installing the springs, do you get a regular alignment or do they need to do something special?

I'm going to the dealer to get an oil change this week... I'll ask them then. I'll post the response i get then. It should be by tomorrow, if they can fit me in hopefully... they are usually pretty good about that.

i got H&R lowering springs. they were $200+shipping. I got them installed for $140.

I'll try to get some pictures when i have time.
The picture in my signature isnt with the car lowered

p.s. the dealer couldnt really answer my question about alignment. He said they have a computer that aligns the car for them.

How much of a drop is it? if it is too far, it will camber in pretty bad and you will notice it by having less traction and odd tire wear.
