This works. I've done it. Rides fine with no sway bar right now, barely feel a difference. I used RSK coilovers for a mk3 Jetta. Swapping the front mounts were the hardest and taking the rear strut mount off was a bitch too need a special to so I would spend the money and buy new mounts. Grinded the spindle smooth both sides and the slid right in. Gives -2.5 degree of camber. Feel free to post questions. i know this post is old but keep it alive

im glad guys are still doing the coilovers, i just got my rsk's this week. what brand of tires did you go with for the 35 series Melveo?
Krazy_85 I went with 215 35 18 federals thinking about selling my RSK coilovers for some cxracing coilovers. You will be removing the helper spring but the only disadvantage is you can only adjust the rear but so much. The front gives full adjustability. The coilovers are tall in my pic I have almost 3 inches left in the front but the rear are maxed out which makes it bouncy sometimes. Doesn't bother me tho

melveo, if the would go with mk1 coil overs, you would be all the way up in the adjustment with about the same drop.
