Just get springs and better shocks. If you can find non adjustable coilovers for the vw's those should work fine also with this kit. I don't have the kit, but I don't forsee any differences.

I will think of a better signature later.
non adjustable height? what track, class are you running? these are true coil overs, not junk sleeves.
only the adjustable fits, the regular vw shocks would not work in the back with springs on them. The fronts might work, but i wouldnt bother trying.
ill be going down to a track in bc canada and they dont let you race in any class with adjustable they only one i class i might be albe to get away with i adjustable is in the street leagles so ill just have to find shocks and springs to replace what i have any good sugestions?
this is autoX i assume? then you would be able to run in sm2? you would want a better shock and spring than the unadjustable ones for autoX though if that is your goal. When i was autoXing my aveo i had stock struts, and H&R springs.
my word of advice, drive it in at least one event before you modify it. Figure out where you stand to improve from.
does the liner from inside the back compartment need to be removed inorder to remover the rear struts?
no, just the two bolts in the wheel well.
Rabbit, I have a set of the MK1 rokkors, think with your kit I can get them to work on the front?
Rabbit you exceeded your storage space. So here is my message I hope you get it! ;D
I don't have pictures of where the rubbing was, because I was scared and immediately put back on the steelies.
The wheels/tires i'm using are 195/50 R16. They look sweet when all 4 are on
The front is fine (Because I haven't put on the coilovers yet) but I never thought about spacers. Maybe I should give it a try. Your just using washers then?

250 message limit is just not enough :P
i have actual spacers, i bought vw spacers, 5mm thick to clear the caliper on the front. i would recommend finding machine grade washers (typically 2mm thick) and stacking them to count the thickness of the spacer you need. A 195/50r16 tire is HUGE to me.. i run a 195/45r15.
what part are you hitting? if you can space out the wheel enough thats a good solution for the back, if you have to eliminate the helper spring to move the coilover away from the tire, that works too. just move the perch up to where the spring will sit with weight on it..
I would like to get in on the group buy please
