      cost to install coil springs

      Im trying to find out how much does it cost to install coil springs ive been searching shops and the quotes i get is from $480-$700 is that about right or are they just trying to rip me off?

      yeah... thats way too much. unless you know nothing about cars i would do it yourself

      I would do it myself,not enough time im in the navy and constantly working working till 6pm

      About how much would say it would cost to have it install?

      I wouldn't pay more than $200.. it can be done in about 2 hours (if your drinking heavily).

      I literally just finished installing new rear shocks and springs. took just under two hours. the springs get a little tricky because of the limited space to attach the spring compressors (maybe it was just my set) but after you fiddle with it a little and rotate the spring the second side goes much smoother

      spring compressors? for the front? you can put the spring compressors after you take off the struts.

      if you use a floor jack to hold the axle while you take off the struts from the back, you do not need spring compressors, and if you let the jack all the way down, the springs will just fall out with a pull.

      My rear springs on my 07 were heavily fatigued and they still needed several inches of compression to be pursued. Maybe the axle on the earlier years dropped a little farther than the 07 but there was no way they would have come out without the compressors.
