Do REAR KYB shocks need to used the factory bumpstops?

      2005 aveo sedan- 120K

Go a pair of KYB gas shocks from Tire rack. The shock is the body and bare piston. I believe that I will need to use the cars stock shock piston cover when replacing. What I can not seem to determine is whether to include the large factory bump stop. I do know that if the replacement shock has it own top cover I would not use them.

      any suggestions

      Thanks

If the new shock doesn't come with new ones, use the old ones.

Thanks seems like a plan. the only reason why i asked is that maybe the kyb shocks were valved differently than the stock shocks. But better safe than sorry thank you for all you help.

I upgraded mine with bilstein and I'm very satisfied with the result. No more bumpy ride when hitting potholes and other imperfections on the road.
