      Engine Strut Brace....I need opinions!

Okay everyone, so this is ACTUALLY happening. For real.

So I'm asking you to give me your honest, positive feedback. Fabricator X and I are working on this prototype for a full engine bay/strut tower brace. Fabricator X has brought his welding and fabricating skills to this project to help the plight of the Aveo owners.

So, on with a concept image.

I like the idea and if the price is right to get it to Canada, I would love one. My only question is, will the way that you want to run the braces to the front of the car clear the hood and the engine? I know it is a concept drawing, but I thought I would ask.

It's a nice idea, hopefully those who get it will only use it for track applications cuz there goes the whole front crumple zone.

As long as it has the right bends and good welds and truely is a bolt on i think it would be worth doing. isn't there another way that hooks up to thestrut post (I'm not sure i just remember a friend that had something like that that was one bar not 3) it was light and did the job but i do like the front supports
You did WHAT? to your Aveo? HAHAHAHAHA

Yeah, just wondering why you guys choose that design. Wouldnt it be easier and cheaper to just make a normal tower to tower brace?

Can you throw out a ballpark price, I won't hold you to it, just want to know how much to save. Also I want one powder coated "Spicy Orange" or a nice shade of blue. I can have it painted locally, but it might be worth the $ to save the hassle.

      --Edit--
At work I can't see linked images, can you upload it to this site or email it to me?

Can I suggest making this a 3 peice design. It will save on shipping and also allow those who only want the strut tower brace and not the front brace in on it as well. You can make the part that goes to the front bolt on to the tower brace.

I am down for a standard brace, but I see a potential issue with refilling the brake master cylinder. Are we going to have to unbolt everything just to check the fluids? If so, maybe make the mounting brackets separate from the crossover bar. The Subaru STI strut tower brace and the MazdaSpeed Protege tower braces are this way.

Good concept though, I'm looking forward to seeing a finished product

      Great minds think alike Chad...

This will be a 4 piece setup, the left bracket, right bracket, crossbar, and then the Front brace will be an add-on option. We are designing i as a customizable system, so you can get the parts you want, nothing you don't. That's the idea so far. Again, we want you input to best offer a good product.

Also, in the near future will be an additional rear support brace, incorporating the rear seat latches on the hatchs, with tie-in points to the rear LATCH system points.. There will also be a lateral bar central brace for just behind the driver's seats near the floor.

The concept of the products we are starting with will address the key needs of the Aveo, one step at a time. First Bodyroll support, then tubular control arms, then header/turbo manifold, then customizable cat-back system. At least that's the plan so far. We need you to participate to let us know whether or not we are wasting our time and money by making this stuff.

if it was a 3 piece wouldn't it not be as strong as just 1 part all welded together? i mean if you bolt the to bars going to the fron the added bolt holes would be weaker right?
