It's gonna be sweet. Fits very VERY snug and the execution of the fit and finish is awesome, I even surprised myself
just some stupid hoses still get in the way, but they are hoses, they flex

Sounds good, we are all looking forward. Will those hoses get rubbed through by the strut bar? Pics? Price? depending on fit and finish, I will put this on my list after the new wheels and tires.Originally Posted by fabricatorx
no they shouldn't, but on whiteraven's car he has some silicone hoses instead of factory. Foam insulation (for copper pipe, find @ home depot) will stop wear

Night and day difference between a standard 1 piece bar, and a strut bar that also connects to the firewall. Core support and fender supports will flex with the strut bar, abeit together, but will still flex. The firewall will not. Find a way to make this happen, and it will be much better.
Have you looked at where our strut towers are in relationship to our firewall? It's really close and there are no really good connecting points without drilling new points.
go pop your hood and have a look-see. What we do want to do is create a mount to stiffen the brake master cylinder.

I don't know that it can be done the same on the aveo, but check out the Mazdaspeed Rx-8 brace. It incorporates the brake master cylinder booster into it quite well.Originally Posted by fabricatorx
