      first time poster

hello. just picked up an 09 Aveo5 last night.

been looking around for lowering springs, because on the highway the car feels like it is on stilts.
does anyone have springs that go lower than 1.5" ? and are there coil overs or even shocks available?

ive been looking through lots of onlive stores, why do so many come up with torsion bar results? anyone have pictures of the underside of the car while on a lift?

i guess what i should be asking is where are you guys finding your parts?

      thanks for the help.

if u use the search feature u will find that there r 3-4 companies that make springs for the aveo, even if it doesnt say for 09 model yr since they really didnt change much.

there arent any available springs that go lower than 1.5" all around....there are coilovers but from overseas in singapore and cost a hefty penny. 1.5" should be good though because thats what I have and my aveo is good on the highway

      Re: first time poster

where did everyone buy their springs? i'm going to get H&R's for now and then fabricate my own coilovers after i have the suspension out for measurements.

i am asking because it seems like everyone is charging $200+ for the springs and want another $40+ for shipping. I can sent a complete set of wheels for $60, and i have sent a rear bench for $40. springs should only be around $20 to ship. And i guess coming from VW's i cant fathom paying more than $150 for new springs?

y2daniel1981 i see your site has the springs. what are you shipping rates? and do you have any of those short shifters in stock?

      also why doesn't aftermarketaveo.com work?

My site? I didnt know I had an aveo parts site lol. Actually that site belongs to xtreme2, I'm not sure what he's done with it, but I do know that if you contact him he'll be able to tell you how much for the springs
