My 06 Aveo's front suspension and or struts make a rattling noise when on bumpy roads. Everything looks ok when I inspect the components. What could be causing this? Bad tie rods? Please help!

A bolt could be loose that you wouldn't be able to tell visually.
I'd jack the car up and try moving things around by hand to see if anything is loose. I had this issue once. It was a loose sway bar endlink.
Look at the top of the shocks under the hood. The mounts tend to have a gap, even after replacement. If nothing else is loose or bad, these could very easily be the culprit. I just replaced my shocks springs and mounts and still have a rattle and bump thanks to this design issue.
if it is not the end links, then also check the flex pipe on the exhaust, the end of the wire loomed pipe rusts off and leaves a free hanging ring around the pipe that rattles like crazy.
i got my suspension a knocking noise too, but i found already the cause of this noise, check this out: http://www.aveoforum.com/forum/f94/f...acement-10311/
i jacked up my front suspension (tires removed), open the hood, hold on the brake rotor and push it down, now i see the top strut assembly rubber is lose.
