Nope they amplify it. You have less rubber (sidewall) to absorb impact. You'll get to feel the road

i c, im thinking of going with 16s.....i havent found the perfect rims yet tho, i know which ones they will be when i see them
16's would be the max id go.....im considering 15's - - but in a deep dish rimOriginally Posted by khan4rtist
16's you have to go 215-40-16 or 205-40-16.....id opt for teh 215-40 just for the increased sidewall.....
i used to have 18x8 OZ superleggeras on my matrix w/ 225-40-18's....it was a decently rough ride compared to stock 215-50-17's....now i have flik ftd rims w/ 235-45-17's......i like 'em a lot
basically, i dont think id go down to a 40 sidewall again...ill stick w/ stock size +1, and thus likely get 15's and some 205-50-15's
Yeah I'm probably going with something like this http://1010tires.com/wheel.asp?wheel...c=2381%2D56549
with the 205/50R15...would be wicked.

Nah, I found some that are 10.8lbs at 139$ each, but couldn't get the link to work, so I just put those to give you an idea hehe. Not going to spend 1200$ just in wheels that's for sure.

Well from 1010tires.com, but I can't find them anymore, as soon as I do, I'll post the link. 139$ a pop plus shipping wouldn't be too bad.Originally Posted by thebarber

looks sharp man...can't wait for the how to...and the results of your drive tests compared when you get the aftermarket wheels and sneakers. I like a sporty feel to the wheel as well, but not too firm, it is the daily driver afterall...
I'm considering 205/50/16, wonder if I could do the H&R with that combo???
Good luck, wheels and sneaks are the toughest thing to pick out I think.
