Hand brake light on while driving

Hi All,

I need some help.
While driving half way, my hand break light sometime will turn on.

Can some one help. What wrong with it.

The hand/parking brake light also serves to warn you of low brake fluid in the reservoir.

Check the level and top up as needed.

Let us know if that was the problem.

Hi, I have check and service. Brake fluid is full up to max.

But the light still come out when start driving.

Hi, I have the same problema, and it was the brake pedal button, it got stuck. I replace it and no more problems with the light.

The brake switch is mounted under the dash, and it makes contact with the arm of the brake pedal roughly half way up.

There's also the possibility it's the switch on the handbrake itself.

Sorry, I understand brake lights, not hand brake light, i supposed on the dahboard. If it's the second, I have that trouble too, and it was the alternator. The only way is replacing it and it's a bit expensive.

I've never heard of the brake pedal switch being connected to the handbrake light before.
