Help replacing lower ball joints with rivets in 2009 aveo

I'm working on replacing both tie rod ends and wheel bearings on my 09 Aveo, but, due to my great luck, when I was done and putting everything back together, I ran across the problem when tightening the nut on the lower ball joint, it was just making the ball joint stud spin. The nut will not tighten down any more, its just stuck near the top. My guess is that ball joint is also bad and I will now have to replace it too.
Well when I go to take the lower ball joint out, to my delight it is held to the control arm by 2 rivets instead of with a screw and nut. I'm now stuck, not sure how to take these rivets off to replace the ball joint.
Here is a picture of the ball joint from the top and bottom. I do not see any way to take the rivets out, any suggestions would def be welcomed..
